Meet Your Therapist

Hi, I’m Gina (she/her), your Pelvic Floor OT. I founded Anxious Pelvis Clinic in Denver because I believe pelvic pain care should feel nothing like the cold, clinical encounters many people have experienced. My work is informed by occupational science, pain science, trauma-informed practice, embodiment, and a deep respect for the mind–body connection. Too often women and LGBTQIA+ individuals are dismissed in health care and provide sub-par care that leaves people feeling even more confused.

I aim to change that and provide you high quality care that truly listens to your concerns and addresses them effectively.

I am a heterosexual, white, cis-female. I recognize my privileges that being white, heterosexual, and cis-gendered has provided me. I practice cultural humility and am always doing what I can to be the most supportive provider I can be.

Answering what you might be afraid to ask

  • No, Colorado is a direct access state. You can use this link to book with Gina directly or book a free discovery call.

    The discovery calls are done with our lovely admin Sarah. If you would like to still have a free consult with Gina to ensure you feel it’s the right fit for you, Sarah can schedule this for you during your call with her.

  • Internal assessments and treatments are never ever required.

    Yes, when appropriate, they can be a helpful part of pelvic floor therapy.

    Prior to possible internal treatment, everything is explained, we’ve already gone over nervous system strategies, and we’ve established enthusiastic consent.

    We prefer to give you tools first to help support you during internal treatment prior to engaging in any internal exam.

    That being said, it’s never something you have to “work up to doing”. Many meaningful treatment goals can be worked toward without any internal work.

  • Yes, Gina has worked with trans men, trans women, non-binary people, as well as people of other gender identities.

  • All care is HIPAA compliant, this includes any documentation.

    Since we are out of network, the services have an extra layer of privacy as nothing needs to be sent to insurance companies.

  • Yes.

    While some aspects of pelvic floor care benefit from in-person sessions, a substantial portion — including education, pain reprocessing training, nervous system work, trigger point release, mindset coaching, and home dilator programs — can be delivered effectively via telehealth.

    For those in Colorado or Pennsylvania, you can do telehealth sessions through the clinic.

    For anyone else, no matter where you live, you can book a coaching intake through our online platform.

  • 1) You can book either a discovery call or an appointment directly. During a discovery call Sarah will call you to assist with any questions.

    2) You will be sent inclusive intake paperwork and consent forms. Everything on the questionnaire portion of the intake paperwork is optional.

    3) You will have your 90 minute evaluation with Gina (either in person or virtual). Read more here on what a first session may look like.

    4) You will have a customized plan to your individual needs. Read more here on what a typical treatment session might look like.

  • Anxious Pelvis Clinic is for you if you want high quality care, that is inclusive, effective, and gives you the time and attention you deserve.

    Due to this, we are out of network with insurance.

    We do provide superbills upon request, that you can submit to your insurance for out of network reimbursement, depending on your plan.

    Payment can also be made with FSA and HSA cards.

    We also have select spaces for sliding scale. If you are on Medicaid or Medicare, we offer wellness based services.
